Research Talk on “Longevity Risk and Investment” jointly hosted by SJCOBA Financial Chapter and HKUST DBA Program
Although human life expectancy is on an upward trend, it exhibits substantial year-to-year variation. In this research talk, Prof. Zhanhui Chen will explore the extent of how changes in longevity expectations can impact an investment portfolio, with a special focus in the Fixed Income market. A very relevant topic nowadays to financial practitioners from family office advisors to insurers.
Furthermore, the research talk will be followed by a panel discussion formed by members from SJCOBA, Prof. Chen, and students from the DBA program, offering a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of longevity shocks and financial markets in a conversational setting.
